The First Projection

Billy Thinx and the First Projection

One last case. The origin of everything. An enemy who believes mercy means ending it all.

Synopsis

Billy Thinx has survived wars across the stars, but retirement brings a silence he cannot escape. Alone aboard the Restless Verdict, grieving his beloved Sydney, he believes his days of chasing impossible answers are over.

Then the Time Masters call.

A signal deep in the Triangulum Galaxy may reveal the Source Projection, the origin of the universe itself. Billy must investigate a claim that turns existence into a crime scene: reality is a dream, and somewhere beyond its boundaries, the dreamer can be found.

With Jerod and Navi at his side, Billy follows the evidence through a civilization that worships itself, a conscious planet, and an ancient machine whose records contain a disturbing connection to his own life. Every witness offers an answer. None explains the whole truth.

The Undreamers are following the same trail. Convinced that all suffering begins with existence, they intend to reach the dreamer and end the universe. They consider it an act of compassion.

To stop them, Billy must question the memories, miracles, and losses that have shaped him, while confronting what his oldest friends refuse to explain.

He has spent a lifetime uncovering other people’s secrets. This case may depend on the one truth he has never been willing to investigate.
