Book Two · Memory

Billy Thinx and the Fourth Shadow

The Fourth Shadow cover

Memory · Can humanity remember?

A year after the Draco Governors fell, Billy finds a human ideology fused with stolen science under Antarctic ice. Force will not end it. Refusing the system that feeds it might.

Overview

Peace is declared. Billy does not trust it. Encrypted traffic, dead accounts, and heat under the ice resolve into three words: Fourth Shadow. The trail runs from Chicago to Patagonia to Antarctica — ratlines, the Bell, a ship already leaving.

The enemy is not an army. It is continuity. The question is not how to destroy it. The question is whether humanity will participate.
